A 2 hour guided kayak trip launching from the Budock Vean Hotel private foreshore. The Helford is a tidal waterway close to Falmouth and you will get to discover the magical ancient oak woodland and beautiful geology on the trip. There is a good chance of experiencing rare and wonderful wildlife and land on secluded beaches. Our friendly and experienced guides will instruct you on kayaking techniques as well as inform you of the history and heritage of this Area of Outstanding Beauty.

We take a maximum of 8 people on 4 tandem kayaks on each trip and we require that children aged 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. We do have single kayaks for parties with an odd number. The youngest child we take on our trips is 6 years old.

1. Moderate level of fitness - we kayak between 3 and 5 miles
2. All participants must be able to swim 25 metres
3. Children aged 14 and younger must be joined by an adult in a tandem kayak
4. Children aged 6 and older can join our trips

We have a boat shed where you can get changed and leave your belongings while you are kayaking.

Please bring swimwear, towel, warm change of clothes. Wetsuits and booties if you have your own (we have wetsuits and booties available).

Bring a bottle of water and snacks. In the summer there is a cafe by the foreshore.
