Public Slip & Slide Session – Nr. Wimborne

Session Information:

You are booking a 1-hour Public Slip & Slide Session at our 426.5ft Slip and Slide in Near Wimborne (off the A31, near the Coventry Arms). The session price includes the use of both single and double rings and where available, bodyboards. Spectators may attend free of charge—only participants (Sliders) need to pay.

Important Notes:

1. Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your session for check-in, changing, and the mandatory safety briefing. Participation will not be allowed without attending this briefing.
2. Session Timing: The final slide will be called after 50 minutes to ensure punctuality for the following session.
3. Traffic & Travel: Allow additional time for summer traffic as we cannot be held responsible for delays.

Participant Requirements:

1. All participants must be 4 years old and over.
2. All participants must be confident in and around water.
3. Children aged 17 years and under must be always supervised by an adult whilst on site
4. All ‘Sliders’ need to be able to walk up a staircase or have personal assistance to help access the slide - to access the launch tower you must be a participant so if your slider needs assistance you will need to book a space.
5. We do have a weight restriction of 20st (127kg).
6. Glasses must be firmly attached by a strap, you cannot bodyboard or body sliding) and worn at your own risk!
7. Sliders cannot be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
8. Participants must be in sound medical condition with no broken bones, injuries, infections or cuts.
9. Participants must be in good health

Dogs

We’re dog lovers too but safety comes first.

Our sites are close to busy roads, and a loose dog could cause a serious accident.

For that reason, dogs are not allowed on site.

We are not insured for dogs on site, so we ask everyone to follow the same rule.

Exclusive Use

We do not offer exclusive use of the Slip & Slide in August. However, limited availability for large groups (80+ people) in July may be possible. For more information, please contact Clare at: info@megaslipandslide.com

Birthday Parties

We welcome you to celebrate your birthday with us. Although we do not offer exclusive sessions, you can join a public session by following the standard booking procedure. Contact info@borneevents.com

Weather & Safety

1. The facility remains operational in the rain—participants will get wet regardless.
2. Operations will cease in the event of strong winds, thunder, or lightning.
3. If we need to pause or close the slide due to weather, it will be done for safety reasons, sometimes at short notice.
4. Check our Facebook page or answerphone before traveling as weather conditions may vary from your location.
5. If we cancel your session, you will receive an email to reschedule or request a refund.
6. If no cancellation communication is received, assume your session will proceed as scheduled and travel to the site accordingly.

Double booking

If you encounter a problem booking and have passed the payment point, do not rebook until you have checked your bank, if funds have been taken, your booking will be on the system. Don’t rebook contact us at info@megaslipandslide.com. We are unable to refund double bookings.

SEND and Carer Passes

Sliders with Additional Needs

We’re keen for children and adults with additional needs to enjoy the Mega Slip and Slide, and we’ll do our best to make the experience positive and safe.

1. Carer Spaces – Book the participant online, then email the booking confirmation and carer proof to info@megaslipandslide.com. We’ll add the carer manually. This needs to be arranged in advance, as we can’t add carers on the day or if the session is full.
2. Supervision – Carers must supervise on the slide, while our staff will support in every way we reasonably can.
3. Busy Sessions – Please be aware the slide can be extremely busy, which some participants may find overwhelming.
4. Safety - Our priority is making sure everyone is safe and enjoying themselves. If a slider is finding it difficult to follow the rules, we'll work with carers to find the best way forward.
5. SEND Sessions – We also run dedicated SEND sessions with lower numbers and a calmer pace. Watch our Facebook page for updates.

Site Regulations:

Thank you for helping us keep the site calm, clean, and safe for all our visitors.

Picnics are welcome, but please take all your litter home.

We do not allow smoking, vaping, or alcohol on site.

Clothing:

1. You can wear any bathing, beach, or sportswear item as long as they don’t have any exposed rivets, studs, or zips.

Footwear:

1. You are advised to wear non-slip foot covering on the slide. Grip socks, trampolining socks, beach/wet shoes, or wetsuit boots are permitted. We do not permit trainers, tennis shoes, or any other type of footwear except the aforementioned types If you don’t have any of the above we do sell grip socks on site £2.00 when available.

Eyewear:

1. Eyewear is only worn at your own risk. If you need to use them to see, we insist they are secured with a glasses band. We cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, or injury.

Safety Advisory:

1. Please note there is a slight risk of friction burns, so we advise all riders to cover up exposed skin
2. All jewellery must be removed, and earrings covered with a waterproof plaster.

Session Protocol:

1. 10 minutes before the start of any session, there will be a safety brief.
2. The last slide is called 10 minutes before the session completes to ensure the next session starts on time.
