    A kayak paddling session starting from Single Person Kayaks on the River Chelmer for adults and accompanied children over 14 years old with a short stop at a local cafe for light refreshments. This trip offers a great introduction to paddling combined with a pub stop to complete your adventure.

    Our experienced guides will lead you on an unforgettable paddling journey in single person kayaks, starting at Paper Mill and taking you through some of the scenic Essex countryside. During your tour we will take a break along the way to refuel with light refreshments at a local cafe– it's sure to be an adventure unlike any other! Whether you're looking for a unique activity for yourself or a fun outing for adults and kids over 14 years old, this is one experience that shouldn't be missed. Join our Paddle adventure at Whoosh Explore from Paper mill near Chelmsford.

    (We can also offer this paddle in canoes for two person canoes - via a separate booking on this website).

    Requirements

    You will need to be responsible at all times for all members of your paddling group whilst on the water. Paddlers will need to be able to swim a short distance and be water confident in case of a capsize. There will be carrying of equipment at the start of the session at the mid point and to put equipment away at the end of each journey.


    What to bring

    Please bring a change of clothes suitable trainers and waterproofs and money for a drink and snack at a local riverside pub. We also recommend binging a dry bag to keep small items such as keys and phone safe and dry.



    Itinerary

    A paddling session on the River Stour starting at Sudbury Quay to the Henny Swan in Bures to enjoy a pub visit to explore the river. Please not we have no changing or toilet facilities available at this time. We plan to meet at a riverside location which is a short walk from Sudbury Station

    We have car parking area on site for the start of our adventure.
