Try your hand at fly fishing from one of our electric powered fishing boats. With a regularly stocked lake of rainbow trout and native brown trout, you are in for a catch!

Pricing is based on £15.00 per craft per three hours, not per adult. The fishing boats have an occupancy of two persons fishing at one time.

Please ensure you have selected the Add On for your fishing permit which is additional to the fishing boat hire. Permits include:

Adult @ £28.00: Maximum bag limit of four fish.

Youth (Under 16 Years) @ £14.00: Maximum bag limit of two fish.

Concessionary (Over 65 Years) @ £23.00: Maximum bag limit of four fish.

Adult @ £22.00: Maximum bag limit of two fish.

Youth (Under 16 Years) @ £8.00: Maximum bag limit of one fish.

Concessionary @ £17.00: Maximum bag limit of two fish.

Please Note: Permits are only permitted if you hold a valid NRW Rod Licence which you must show proof of when signing in. Please refer to our terms and conditions for the Llys Y Fran Fishing Rules.

Please be advised dogs are not permitted in or on the lake under any circumstances. Dogs must always remain on a lead when on site.

Safety Notice:

Safety is our number one priority. In the event of poor weather conditions, for example; strong winds or thunder and lightning, we reserve the right to restrict water access to particular user groups, restrict the area available for activities, or close the lake. We will endeavour to give advance notice whenever possible, however, some decisions need to be made at short notice.

In the case where the lake is needed to be closed, we will endeavour to notify all customers to offer the opportunity to reschedule their session or receive a refund. We will also ensure the message is shared on the Llys Y Fran website and social media pages.

Before travelling to Llys Y Fran, we ask that you follow the current government advice and do not travel if you have any of the following symptoms:

1. A high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).

1. A new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).

1. A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.

To ensure the safety of our customers and staff we ask you to sign a health declaration confirming you are free of symptoms.

As part of your hire, you will be provided with a buoyancy aid. We recommend you bring with you:

1. Fishing equipment.
2. Rod Licence.
3. Sun cream.
4. Bottle of water.

Important: Please ensure you have purchased an appropriate rod licence from NRW prior to arrival. You must show proof of the licence when signing in.
