  • Description

Our Guides at Sup2summit will guide you on a paddleboard journey into one of the world's most breathtaking and untouched wilderness areas. Our carefully planned itinerary ensures manageable daily distances, granting us the luxury of time to unwind and savor the awe-inspiring views.

The total cost of this expedition is £550, £275 at time of booking with final payment due 6 weeks prior to expedition start date.

While each trip is a unique adventure, with occasional adjustments based on environmental conditions, here is the likely itinerary of our journey.

    Day 1 - Getting started

We'll meet in Fort William and a taxi will take you to our meeting point on the first morning, arrival times are usually between 10-11 am. After introductions, we'll distribute equipment, conduct a final briefing and gear check, and provide group food. A short journey will take us to the launch site. For day 1, it's advised to have a substantial breakfast and bring your packed lunch. We'll paddle into the wilderness, set up camp early evening, and provide a dinner and refreshments.

Day 2 - Into the Wild

Following breakfast, we embark on a full day of paddling. Incorporating a portage into Loch Nevis, setting up camp in the remote wilderness of Knoydart early evening.

    Day 3 - Exploration

After breakfast, we pack up and head out for another day of awe-inspiring views from our boards, arriving early evening in a small remote village called Inverie. We'll provide breakfast, mid-morning snacks, lunch, and afternoon snacks. This evening, we gather for a farewell meal in one of the local restaurants (at your own cost), offering an opportunity to reflect on our journey and share experiences.

    Day 4 - Homeward Bound

Following breakfast, we make a short paddle to the pier in Inverie, where we board the Western Isles ferry for a scenic hour-long cruise back to Mallaig. Sadly, we bid farewell, concluding our unforgettable journey.

Due to the ever changeable nature of weather (winds) in this area, we will aim for a maximum of around 15km a day of paddling but this maybe shortened or lengthened depending on conditions. This is a full expedition with no support and very committing. Customers should be comfortable paddling this distance before taking on this challenge. Full coaching and guiding will be done throughout the trip.

WILD Camping - As well as spectacular wild camping sites, we also provide quality tents and thermarest style air bed and dry bags to carry all this plus your own kit. All you need to bring is your own personal paddling gear, clothing and a 2/3 season sleeping bag. A kit list will be sent out to you in the whatsapp group chat.

Food - We provide breakfast, lunch and evening meals while out on expedition unless stated differently above.. These are in the form of porridge packs and rehydrated expedition foods. A list will be sent out for your choice of meals. We use Real Turmac expedition foods.

Your safety is always our primary concern, we use a 1:4 ratio. Our trip leaders are highly qualified SUP Expedition Guides with advanced first aid qualifications. Our guides are some of the most experienced sup guides in Scotland, operating in multiple locations across Scotland all year round!
