Thursday Swim for Sport and Recreation

This swim will be from outside of Watersports (as in 2023)

WETSUITS

Wetduit hire £5 and ONLY available if requested by Wednesday noon of the day before, via email to mary@inspire2tri.com - please wait for confirmation BEFORE YOU BOOK

Wetsuits are not mandatory for adults, but are strongly advised below 14C or for swimmers with no previous open water experience.

Wetsuits are mandatory for children U15 at water temperatures below 15C.

CHILDREN

Children: (8-15yrs) who can swim 250m confidently are welcome, subject to above wetsuit rules and must be accompanied by a nominated in-water adult. Parental consent is required at Check-in.

TOWFLOATS

Towfloats are generally advised, but are mandatory for: non wetsuit swimmers, children U15, First time swimmers in open water and anyone at risk of sudden loss of consciousness. I have a small number to loan but you are strongly advised to bring your own if you swim regularly..

SWIM HATS

Brightly coloured swim hats are mandatory for all swimmers - I have a small number of each to loan on a first come/first served basis.

Please enter (or confirm) on-line at the time of booking to avoid delays at check-in as these details are mandatory.

PARKING

Parking is £1 for an all-day single use exit pass. This will be MUCH cheaper than buying a ticket at the pay station if you don't have a pass and must be booked with your swim session (see add-ons). .

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations for algae or other weather related conditions beyond our control will receive a full refund or a voucher for a future swim.

ARRIVAL & CHECK IN

This is a 1.5hr session but check-in opens at 5:30pm and closes at 6:30pm. At check-in you will be issued with a Tydek pre-marked wristband and you're ready to swim!

8yrs or over on 31st Dec 2022 who can swim 250m confidently. Children 15 or under MUST be accompanied by a nominated in-water adult. Parental consent is required.

Please bring warm clothing.

Wetsuits optional for adults and

mandatory for U15 at water temperatures below 15C. Goggles and gloves,water socks are optional.Bright hat mandatory.

300m course with water safety (kayaks and powerboat).
