Join Outdoor Explore Wales on a tranquil night paddle under the Full Moon in the Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve! This guided paddleboard tour will have you paddling at a leisurely pace for 1.5 hours around Ponstcill Reservoir, perfect for novices. With just 6 people max in each group, it allows everyone to relax and enjoy the peaceful night sky with only the light of stars and full moon to guide your way.

If you have your own equipment, this peaceful night paddle costs just £29pp; alternatively, we can provide full kit hire for a small fee of £10 which includes a paddleboard, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid and waterproof jacket as well as a dry bag if required – wetsuits are also available upon request (£5 hire fee applies).

Please bring a headtorch!

Any photos we try to take on the tour can be shared with you, for free, after the journey. We can't make any promises about pictures for this trip as it'll be dark!

Please note, due to being a small business, I need at least three participants on open guided tours. While I will do my best to fill each session, if there is only one person booked on, we will look at rearranging the session.

Participants should be water confident.

If you are bringing your own equipment, you will need a buoyancy aid, which you can hire for £5 if you don't have one.

Bring some footwear (which will get wet) and appropriate clothes for the weather - it's likely to be chilly!

You will need a headtorch - it's night time!

You will be taken on a guided tour of the canal at night.

We'll slowly paddle along the canal, hopefully by moonlight if the skies are clear!.
