RYA Start Windsurf Instructor Course
Description
The Course takes place over 5 days.
One Trainer will run the course for the first 4 days which are training days and the final day is a moderation day which is attended by a second trainer.
The course will include sessions on land using a simulator and on the water, where you will be looking at introducing sessions and delivering the Start windsurfing Syllabus.
Requirements
Candidates must fulfil the following criteria before taking part in the instructor training course: Start Windsurfing Instructor
- Minimum age 16
- Intermediate Non-Planing windsurfing personal certificate, including clinics.
- RYA Powerboat Certificate Level 2
- Valid and approved first aid certificate (List available on the RYA website)
- RYA Safe & Fun safeguarding certificate
- RYA member
What to bring
The course will have elements of inside work but you will also be outside and on the water for a good part of each day. Please come prepared with plenty of warm clothes, waterproofs, sailing kit etc. Wellies can be useful if its wet as there may be times when you are on the shore doing demos etc. If you are short of any kit please let us know and we may be able to help you out.
