Pub Lunch Scenic Paddle

Come and explore the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal with Outdoor Explore Wales. Join our Pub Lunch Scenic Paddle tour from Pencelli to Talybont-on-Usk where we will have pub grub lunch at the Star Inn. After lunch, we will slowly paddle back to Pencelli.

This 4-4.5-hour adventure is perfect for novice paddlers – we'll be taking it slow and steady, allowing everyone to take in their surroundings.

PLEASE NOTE: FOOD IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE

This is a novice-friendly activity. A small group trip (6 people max), allowing all to enjoy, relax and paddle at a slow pace.

If you have your own equipment, this incredible coastal experience costs just £60pp; alternatively, we can provide full kit hire for a small fee of £24 which includes a paddleboard, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid and waterproof jacket as well as a dry bag if required – we also offer wetsuit hire at just £5 per person extra.

For evening trips, please bring a headtorch as it might be dark on our way back!

Remember a change of clothes, just in case you take a dip on the way to the pub!

Any photos that we will take on the tour can be shared with you, for free, after the journey.

Please note, due to being a small business, we need at least three participants on open tours. While we will do our best to fill each session, if there are only two people booked on, we will look at rearranging the session.

Participants should be water confident.

If you are bringing your own equipment, you will need a buoyancy aid, which you can hire for £5 if you don't have one.

You need to bring some footwear (which will likely get wet) and wrap up warm. We'd also recommend a spare change of clothes for this trip.

We will take a relaxing paddle to the pub where we will have lunch/ dinner. After eating we will slowly paddle back to Pencelli.
