Paddleboard & Penderyn Distillery Tour!

Join Outdoor Explore Wales for a truly unique day out in the Brecon Beacons! Paddleboard on the picturesque Beacons Reservoir, then take a short trip to the Penderyn Distillery for an enjoyable guided tour and sample some of their delicious whiskies.

Our beginner-friendly paddleboard tour will guide you around the stunning reservoir at a slow, relaxed pace with plenty of time to enjoy your surroundings for 1.5 hours.

Afterwards, you'll make your own way to Penderyn where an experienced guide will show you around and share their knowledge about this wonderful Welsh Whisky distillery.

The price is £36.50pp if you have your own paddleboard equipment, or we can provide full paddle kit for just £10

The paddleboard, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid, waterproof jacket, and a dry bag.

We can provide a wetsuit (£5 hire fee applies) at your request.

Any photos we take on the tour will be shared with you after the journey.

Timings on here are for the Paddleboard part of the trip only. Distillery Tours start at 1 pm and 2 pm, please let us know which tour you'd prefer and we can book your place.

Please note, due to being a small business, I need at least three participants on open guided tours. While I will do my best to fill each session, if there are only 2 people booked on, we will look at rearranging the session.

Participants should be water confident.

If you are bringing your own equipment, you will need a buoyancy aid, which you can hire for £5 if you don't have one.

Bring some footwear (which will get wet) and appropriate clothes for the weather.

It's also a good idea to bring a small bottle of water, especially on a hot day.

Bring some dry clothes for afterwards - just in case!

We'll take a relaxing, slow-pace paddle around the Beacons Reservoir, then you can drive to Penderyn for a tour of the whiskey distillery.
