  • Description

Experience the breathtaking views of the Brecon Beacons with Outdoor Explore Wales' Canal Aqueduct Paddle!

This guided paddleboard tour will take you from Brynich Lock, across the largest aqueduct on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.

The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and is suitable for novices as well as experienced paddlers. This is a small group trip (6 people max), allowing all to enjoy, relax and paddle at a slow pace.

If you have your own equipment, this stunning paddleboard experience costs just £40pp; alternatively, we can provide full kit hire for a small fee of £15 which includes a paddleboard, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid and waterproof jacket as well as a dry bag if required – we also offer wetsuit hire at just £5 per person extra.

Any photos we take on the tour can be shared with you, for free, after the journey.

Please note, due to being a small business, we need at least three participants on open guided tours. While we will do our best to fill each session, if there are only two people booked on we will look at rearranging the session. After booking we will send you the exact details of the meeting location.

We also offer Private Lessons and Guided tours, please contact us to arrange this for you.

If you have any questions in the meantime, you can reach us directly:

    Requirements

    Participants should be water confident.

If you are bringing your own equipment, you will need a buoyancy aid, which you can hire for £5 if you don't have one.

    What to bring

Bring some footwear (which will get wet) and appropriate clothes for the weather.

It's also a good idea to bring a small bottle of water, especially on a hot day.

    Itinerary

You will be taken on a guided tour of the canal - and across the largest aqueduct on the canal.

I will provide any paddleboarding tips you might want, alongside information about the canal and the surrounding area.
