    Climbing Sessions

For young people aged 8 to 11 years old

    £10 per person per session

Climbing sessions give young people the opportunity to build their confidence and skills in an outdoor adventure sport whilst also making new friends.

During the sessions, participants will learn basic climbing skills and technique, play games and learn about the indoor sport.

Sessions are led by qualified instructors.

Harnesses and helmets will be provided and must be worn by all participants throughout the activity.

All participants must wear closed-toe shoes when climbing.

We ask that participants wear clothes that do not restrict their movement and that they are happy to get wet and dirty as this is an outdoor adventure sport activity.

    Booking note

Bookings will initially be made in parent/guardian name and then individual participants must be added by selecting the "Invite participant" link.

This will allow you to fill in the young person's details.

This should be completed at time of booking.

A consent form will need to be completed prior to the young person participating in the activity, these can be accessed in advance by emailing Waterside@berkshireyouth.co.uk and requesting a "Y23 form" to complete and return to the Waterside team either via email or at the start of the session.

Please note; all bookings require at least 72hrs notice for cancellations.

    Requirements

Young people must be aged 8 to 11 years old to participate in this activity.

    What to bring

This is an indoor climbing wall activity.

    1. Participants should wear Closed-toe shoes and clothes they can move freely in.
    2. Long hair must be tied back and jewellery should be removed.

I had a wonderful experience at the Waterside Youth & Community Centre Cafe! Marion, who took my order, was enthusiastic and friendly, making me feel warmly welcomed and at home. Helen, who served my food, was great ...
