Experience the thrill of white water paddleboarding with Outdoor Explore Wales.

Join us on this 2.5-hour SUP lesson from Symonds Yat East, where you will learn how to tackle rapids and navigate your way through white water.

Our small group lessons (max 4 people) are led by a qualified instructor who will provide personalized instruction. This tour is suitable for people who have paddleboarded before, but you don't need much experience (if you're not sure, try this trip first: https://bit.ly/RiverTaffRapidsPaddle).

If you have your own equipment, this fun and challenging paddleboard lesson costs just £45pp; alternatively, we can provide full kit hire for a small fee of £15 which includes a paddleboard, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid, and waterproof jacket as well as a dry bag if required – we also offer wetsuit hire at just £5 per person.

Any photos we take on the tour can be shared with you, for free, after the journey.

Please note, due to being a small business, we need at least two participants on open lessons. While we will do our best to fill each session, if there are only two people booked on, we will look at rearranging the session.

Participants should have some paddleboarding experience, but you don't need much.

If you are bringing your own equipment, you will need a buoyancy aid, which you can hire for £5 if you don't have one.

Bring some footwear (which will get wet) and appropriate clothes for the weather.

It's also a good idea to bring a small bottle of water, especially on a hot day.

You will also need to bring £4 to launch here.

We will take a paddle to the rapids on the River Wye from Symonds Yat East where we will learn and practice some white water skills.
