    Ghyll Scrambling in Church Beck is an exciting and adrenaline-filled activity located in the stunning Coniston Valley. With Genuine Adventures, you can immerse yourself in one of the most thrilling activities that the Lake District has to offer.


    On this 3-hour adventure, you’ll explore a narrow gorge filled with cascading waterfalls and slippery rocks as you make your way up stream. You’ll learn to conquering your fears by jumping into deep plunge pools, sliding down natural chutes, scrambling up boulders and traversing across rocky terrain. Get ready for a unique experience filled with unforgettable memories!

    Medium to high level of fitness required

    What to bring

    Swimming Costume

    A pair of old shorts to where on the outside of the wetsuit

    Good fitting footwear like old trainers or boots (will get very wet) flip flops, crocs, and watershoes are not appropriate

    full change of clothes

    Itinerary

    On your session you will first meet you instructor at the old station car park.


    They will brief you on your activity and hand out equipment you need. This will consist of a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and a helmet.


    You will then be lead to the ghyll which is only a short walk way.


    Then the adventure begins!
