A permit to fish for Pike at College reservoir, fishing starts from Nov 1st and runs through until the end of February.
College offers fantastic pike fishing in beautiful wild surroundings, with the possibility of catching something special!
Please make your self familiar with the rules prior to purchasing a ticket to ensure it is suitable.
Pike season: 1st October until 28th February
Permitted methods of fishing are Plugs, spinners, soft plastics, Jigs, worms or
dead seas baits.
Do not discard dead sea fish into the reservoir when leaving to avoid pollution
and false alarms
Barbless hooks ONLY for predator fishing
Treble hooks are allowed but must be barbless (crushed barbs Are allowed but
must be fully crushed). Minimum hook six 6 to avoid deep hooking. No more than
2 trebles on a rig
Braided mainline is recommended or very strong mono (so you can bend hooks
that are snagged and avoid leaving baited hooks in the water)
Snag leader and break away lead systems to be used when ledgering
Hooks MUST be mounted on a wire trace
Anglers must have forceps, long nosed pliers and wire cutters are recommended
No gaffs allowed and no boga grips
Pike must be weighed in a sling or net, and must not be hung by the gills
No sacks for holding fish, floatation slings may be used when setting up
photographic equipment for a maximum of 15 minutes
Please lead around your swim before fishing to avoid snags
Pike are extremely delicate despite their fierce appearance so keep handling to a
minimum and treat them with care
