Description
Located on the outskirts of Penryn in Cornwall, Argal Reservoir has a National reputation for being one of the leading fisheries in the South West with many of the carp having been re-located from the prolific College Reservoir many years ago.
Argal is home to carp to 40lbs, pike to 25lbs, bream to 15lb, perch to 3lb and quality roach and rudd. Carp have gone to nearly 43lbs in the past. The most sought after carp is ‘The Secret’ which is usually caught around 40lbs in weight. There is a large head of big bream with an average size well over 5lbs. Pleasure anglers’ nets of 75-150lb in a day are not uncommon.
