Bussow Junior/Senior Pairs Competition

The Bussow Junior/Senior pairs is a fun carp fishing competition that will combine the energy and enthusiasm of youth with the experience, knowledge and zen like wisdom of an older head.

We have designed this competition to provide younger anglers and indeed their grown up team mates a chance to experience the best elements of a fishing competition in a slightly scaled down format.

The match will run from the Saturday the 26th of September at 10am until 5pm on the 27th. Registration is from 8am on the Saturday, with the results and awards announced at 7pm on the Sunday.

Each team is allowed to fish with two rods each and there will be a watercraft draw for the pegs. So if you draw number 1 from the bag you will get first choice, number 2 second choice and so on.

There will be prizes for the heaviest overall weight and that team will be crowned the winners. But we will also have prizes for the biggest fish and the prettiest fish which will be decided by the marshals.

Each participating pair will receive a goody bag from Mirage baits, and as well as a trophy the winner in each category will receive a bait bundle as well.

Team captains must be under 18 with the second team member having to be over 18.

If Under 18's are not fishing with their parent or guardian then a parental consent form is required. This must be signed by the participants parent or guardian, before they will be allowed to participate in the event. Forms can be obtained by emailing;

Bussow has one toilet, and sadly no shower and no running water. So please make sure that you bring enough food, water and supplies for the duration of the competition.
