  • Description

H2O Adventures welcomes you to the Jurassic coast, we love nothing more than exploring the miles of epic coastline in our sea kayaks and showing others what wonders it holds, every day is different out on the sea.

Our half-day, adventure costs £70 per person. You will get a stop-off at Old Harry Rocks, to have a look around, before heading back to Swanage Boat Park.

From our launch site in Swanage, we will head out into Swanage Bay for a skills session teaching you a few skills to make your day even more fun out on the water. We will sea kayak out of the bay and head along the white chalky cliffs with their abundance of caves and sea stacks. The sea life in the area is diverse, and you can get up close and personal with the occasion pod of dolphins and seals; you may just be the lucky ones!

Our kayak fleet comprises brand new PH sea kayaks, Delphin and Scorpio models which are also perfect to demo when looking to buy your next performance sea kayak. These kayaks are perfect for the shorter sea kayaking trips with comfy seats and outfitting, making for a nice on-the-bum experience and providing the experience of real kayaking instead of the sit-on-top kayaks. You will get to learn the skills necessary to control a sit-in kayak as well as have more fun in the waves. We have 8 kayaks, so you can bring all your friends and family along to enjoy the experience with you.

For this adventure, you will need some kayaking experience and a reasonable level of fitness. The minimum age to participate is 14 years old. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian .

    Requirements

The only requirement is to have an epic time with H2O Adventures. This is one of our longer trips so a reasonable level of fitness is needed and you need to be water confident. You don't need to be a good swimmer as buoyancy aids are supplied.

H2O Adventures supplies the following equipment: kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, helmet, spray deck and a dry bag for your belongings.

Please bring a hat, sunscreen, drink and nibbles for your trip along with any medication* you may need for the day (*Please make your guide aware of any medical conditions before starting your trip).

Footwear is required and must be worn throughout your adventure, expect this to get wet.

    Itinerary

On arrival at Swanage Boat Park, you will be met by your guide where you will get ready for your adventure and kitted up with buoyancy aids and helmets, before heading down for an on-land demonstration of the fundamental skills needed for your adventure.

Once on the water, we will have some time to practice the kayaking skills and head off into Swanage Bay. Once across Swanage Bay, there is an abundance of caves and cliffs to explore each testing your skills and bravery. This stretch of coastline is breath-taking with its white chalk and sea stacks these you can see all the way to Old Harry Rocks.

You will get to stop off at the UNESCO world heritage site of Old Harry Rocks and find out about the old wives' tales and the history it holds. We can get out of the kayaks to explore, before heading back along the cliffs and heading back to Swanage Boat Park. This provides the opportunity to test your skills with our stand up in a kayak challenge.
