Description
Come and join us at Heptonstall Quarry, looking over the spectacular Calder Valley just outside Hebden Bridge, for 3-hours of Rock Climbing and Abseiling.
Known locally as 'Hell Hole', Heptonstall is a large, west facing, sun-loving rock climbing venue that has something for everyone from the complete beginner through to the advanced, seasoned adventurer. Many of the harder and taller climbs feature in the main quarry, but there is an equally high-quality natural rock buttress with easier and shorter routes suitable for even the youngest of climbers a short walk along the hillside.
Suitable for ages 6 and up with no prior experience needed, whether you come as an individual or bring your friends & family we tailor all our sessions to suit your needs and abilities.
What to bring
We provide all climbing equipment including specialised climbing shoes to truly help you get to grips with the rock, however, participants are expected to come prepared for the prevailing weather conditions.
Below is a suggested kit list for your session:
- Comfortable, freely moving clothing. Jeans and heavy cotton is not recommended.
- Waterproof top & bottoms.
- Warm insulating layer(s).
- Comfortable, sturdy footwear for walking to the venue and between climbs.
