Oxford SUP Club

Had a wonderful lesson with Max at Oxford SUP club. I was given a one hour intro session as a gift and yesterday was the 2 hour follow up. Max has a lovely relaxed style and we all enjoyed floating about at Farmoor while he dispensed knowledge and tips. And I didn't fall in!!!

I have been paddling for about 3 years and wanted to improve my technique so booked in with Andrew  on recommendation.
It was a complete game changer! By the end of the session I was paddling with less effort, more efficiency and having so much more fun due to a huge increase in confidence walking and moving on my board, even in challenging conditions. Andrew took the time to assess my technique then resculpted it in an empathetic, encouraging way with no pressure at all.
The way he teaches and guides is obviously tailored to each person, not the "one size fits all" training from many SUP centres so is suitable for a complete novice up to a skilled paddler with many years experience. Whether you are new to paddling or have paddled for many years, you will benefit from tuition with Andrew. It was a session that has hugely improved my paddling technique with instant results and at a very reasonable cost - fabulous!!
It is over a 2 hour round trip for me to get to Oxford and I will be more than happily doing that from now on for regular training sessions. I can't wait for the next one!

Welcoming, supportive, and great for first-timers

I went to a taster session with Oxford SUP Club and had a brilliant experience. The instructors were really welcoming and patient, taking the time to guide me step by step and help me stand up for the first time. Everything was explained clearly, and the whole vibe was relaxed and encouraging. Perfect for beginners — I’d definitely recommend it to anyone curious about giving paddleboarding a try.

A fantastic time had by my son and I. Andrew was an excellent Instructor and we both can't wait to go back. A perfect way to spend a sunny morning!

Great session introduction to SUP. Easy to book, answered my email query within minutes. Friendly and informative staff and the on water instructors were patient and supportive. Even with my slow progress against the rest of the class the instructors took their time to get me standing up and moving around the water. Thoroughly recommend for a fun hour on the water as a beginner. I’ll be back for the next level.
