    1. LOCATION: Oxford SUP Club at Farmoor Reservoir
    2. GROUP SIZE: 4 people (per instructor)
    3. SESSION DURATION: 2 hours – 90 minutes on the water
    4. SESSION CONTENT: A great introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding, this session will teach you the basics you need to get standing, paddling and enjoying the sport.


    This 2 hour session will include the following:

    1. WATER SAFETY BRIEFING
    2. PADDLING KNEELING DOWN
    3. PADDLING STANDING UP
    4. BASIC PADDLE TECHNIQUE – FORWARD, BACKWARDS & TURNING
    5. FUN & GAMES ON THE BOARDS


    WHAT WE PROVIDE: We’ll supply boards, paddles, leashes, buoyancy aids and wetsuits.


    WHAT YOU’LL NEED: You need to bring a pair old trainers or water-sports shoes, swimwear, a towel, and your clothes for afterwards.


    SESSION PRICES:

    Adults: £55.00 each


    16-18 years: £35.00 each 

     

    *Under 18’s – EACH child must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian for the full lesson on the water.*

    This lesson is aimed at the more confident, adventurous individuals and families.


    Perfect if you've tried SUP before but want to learn some real skills.


    Minimum age for children - 16

    What to bring

    You'll need to bring a pair of trainers or water-sports shoes to wear on your feet, along with your swimwear and a towel.


    We provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids.


    During the warmer months of summer you can wear shorts & t-shirts.

    Itinerary

    Please check in at SUP Club HQ.


    Once we've got you kitted up and ready to go we'll head over to the water.


    We'll start with a 10 minute paddle technique demo and safety brief and then head out onto the water and get paddling.


    We will cover all of the basics of SUP, starting with paddling on your knees. We'll progress to standing and then work on forward paddle technique.


    Once we've got that nailed, we'll move onto a selection of different turn techniques and explore the reservoir.


    You should expect to be on the water and paddling for 90 minutes.
