    Ripley afternoon Paddle 🍃🧡

Join us paddle on one of the oldest river navigations in the country, and paddle right up to the famous landmark, Newark Priory.

River Wey | 4 mile paddle

Passing through stunning meadows and countryside this is a truly beautiful route surrounded flowers and wildlife. We'll paddle down river to visit the historic landmark, Newark Priory where we will stop for an afternoon picnic, so please bring paddle snacks! Once rested and recharged, we will embark on our return journey paddling up river.

    Who is this trip for?

This is a beginner to intermediate friendly tour starting with a on land briefing, followed by a short refresher to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident on their board. Please note there will be a portage at Newark Lock, and there's potential for head winds. Please ensure you are comfortable with this paddling environment before booking.

“Our river trips are designed as an opportunity to retreat from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. With small group sizes and an emphasis on having fun outdoors, our trips are all about the journey, not the destination. You set the pace".

    FAQ’S

    Can I come solo? Absolutely

Do I need to be a member? Nope

Do I need my own kit? We have boards and kit available to hire

Is the water safe? The quality of our local waterways is something to always be aware of and it’s important to do your own research regarding this. When paddle boarding with us we ask that you cover up any minor cuts and abrasions, and to wash once you are home if you fall/swim in the river, this is to reduce the risk of disease such as weil's disease. Paddle Up strongly recommends not to participate in paddling if you have any open wounds, and instead to reschedule. Read our FAQ's here.
