Description
Join me for a mid-week ‘Swimventure’ in the heart of the Galloway Forest Park.
Step away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life, and enjoy an invigorating activity with likeminded people.
We will take a brisk walk (approximately 1.5 miles each way) along part of the Southern Upland Way, following the Water of Minncoh to reach the picturesque Roman Bridge - which locals believe goes back to Roman times but it is more likely a 17th century pack horse bridge without parapets. Regardless of its history it provides an excellent photographic opportunity not to be missed!
Here we will swim in a natural river pool in the bracing waters of the Water of Minnoch.
There is no need to be super fit, we always go at the pace of the slowest person. No racing or route marching here - so no need to worry if you're feeling apprehensive about the experience.
