    Are you curious about cold water swimming?

    Do you wonder why people do it and what benefits they get from it?

    Have you wanted to give it a go but been unsure how to take part safely?

    This session is ideal for anyone new to cold water swimming and those who want to learn how to swim or dip in the open water safely. You will learn all about what happens to your body physically when you enter cold water, why mindset is so important in overcoming any fears around cold water and how to acclimatise to cold water and use the correct breathing techniques.

    You will also learn about the many benefits of cold water and receive information on open water swimming safety.

    This event is being run in conjunction with The Loch Ken Trust, as part of their Family Water Safety Fun Day.




    What You Need:

    1. swimsuit, swim shoes or old trainers.
    2. Tow float (please let me know if you need to borrow one)
    3. Please bring plenty of warm clothes for afterwards, including a dry hat & gloves, even on a warmer day. NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE HOW MANY LAYERS YOU WILL NEED AFTERWARDS.
    4. Flask with hot drink & snack for afterwards.
