Surf Lisbon - House & School

I booked my first surf session with them and it was a really nice experience. The two instructors were really nice and I got picked up in the center of Lisbon, which was really convenient. So happy I caught some waves for my first time, thank you!

I have been taking surf lessons with Surf Lisbon since July of 2025, and they have been fantastic! The instructors are attentive and friendly, the equipment is excellent, and they have convenient transport from the center of Lisbon to the surfing locations. I would highly recommend their service no matter your skill level.

I have not personally used their surf house, but I have heard great things about it from dozens of people who have stayed there.

I’ve had a really good experience with Surf Lisbon. I bought a pack of 10 group lessons for myself and 5 private lessons for my 5-year-old son. I live locally in Lisbon and it’s been super convenient doing lessons with them (I haven't stayed at the house, so this is only a review of the lessons). They offer morning and afternoon sessions and usually let me know the day before whether we'll be surfing in Carcavelos or Caparica, depending on the wave conditions.

I’ve had a few different instructors and they’ve all been great. My son’s instructors have been especially patient and encouraging, helping him build confidence in the water and work on balance.

Group lesson sizes vary a lot depending on the time of year and people come from all over the world. Practically everyone speaks English, including the instructors, so language hasn't been an issue for me as someone who doesn't speak much Portuguese. They also surf even if the weather isn’t perfect, so a little rain won't stop the lesson. I’m a total beginner and have always felt supported, and I plan to keep going until I can confidently say I know how to surf.

Very good first private surf lesson for two — an adult and an 11-year-old girl. We learned the basics and even managed to surf a few waves standing up on the board!
Lucas, the instructor, was impeccable: very professional, patient and nice.

It was my second time at Surf Lisbon and my first time staying there during the off season. I came because I wanted to surf some bigger and more consistent waves during the winter time and I was not disappointed!
At first I had mixed feelings, because I was the only one staying at the house during my entire stay. But Nuno was so nice and gave me a private room free of extra charge and told me he would be available via WhatsApp if I needed anything. During the day Leonor and  Rui would be at the front desk and would keep me company which was well appreciated by me.
The surfing was super nice because the group was never larger than 4 people and often it was only Lucas and me which was super fun, because that way we could go outside and surf big green waves together🏄🏼‍♀️
All in all I had a very different but positive experience at the surf house once again and I can’t wait to go back soon.
