A 90-minute group session at our designated location, in which we take you through the basic skills required. You'll learn to stand, hone your stroke, turn and more, before we go on a mini adventure.

    – You should be able to swim.

    – You should be over 18. All children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

    – You must have completed our booking form.

You do not need to be a proficient swimmer, but you should feel comfortable about falling into water while wearing a buoyancy aid. A certain level of flexibility and ability to get up to standing from kneeling is required for learning to paddleboard.

We will be taking extra precautions to keep you safe and well. Every paddle, board and buoyancy aid will be disinfected before and after use, and antibacterial hand wash will be used at the end of each session. We will be keeping 2m apart on the water, but also before and after each session. Please cover any cuts on your feet/legs with plasters.

When it's warm, we recommend you wear what makes you feel comfortable, so shorts and t-shirt or other leisure/gym wear. Neoprene/wetsuit is perfect if you have them. We can provide wetsuits if you need them, but please let us know in advance. Please wear something on your feet if possible, so wet shoes, flip flops or old trainers, whatever you're happy to get wet. Please also bring suntan lotion, and insect spray if you have it, plus a towel, and spare clothes just in case for your journey home (hopefully you won’t need them!). We can look after car keys, but please leave other valuables in your car.

    Amserlen

We start our session off the water with an introduction to the equipment and the conditions. We launch on our knees to help you find your balance and practice the basic principles of the stroke, turning and stopping. From our launch point, we then stand and perform a loop and explore the local surroundings, while executing the skills you've learned and honing your stroke and turns.
