Two-hour coastal SUP tours | 1:1 £120 | 2:1 £150 | 3:1 £180 | 4:1 £200 |
Stand up paddleboarding is one of the finest ways to explore Cornwall's coastline. Unlike a surf lesson or a short paddle in sheltered water, SUP touring is about journeying through the landscape, reading the conditions and travelling confidently under your own steam.
From our base at The Headland Hotel we're perfectly positioned to launch straight onto the spectacular coastline around Towan Headland, Little Fistral and The Gazzle. If conditions favour somewhere more sheltered, we'll head to the beautiful River Gannel, where winding creeks, saltmarsh and abundant wildlife offer a completely different paddling experience.
Every session is planned around the day's wind, swell and tides. Rather than simply following your guide, you'll begin to understand why a particular route has been chosen and how experienced paddlers work with the natural environment rather than against it.
Along the way you'll develop practical skills including efficient paddling, route planning, crossing moving water, paddling in different wind directions, identifying hazards, understanding 'tick-off' and 'collecting' features, packing a drybag and preparing for safe coastal journeys.
Whether you're looking for a relaxing paddle through stunning scenery or the foundations for longer coastal adventures, every tour is private, tailored to your experience and designed to leave you a more capable and confident paddler than when you arrived.
