    Only on your first booking a questionnaire & disclaimer will need to be completed & signed. These forms are available once you have added the rest of your group (your/the child). If there are any amendments from previous sessions, Sandy Toed Sea Swimmers must be notified.


    Welcome to Sandy Toed Sea Swimmers, our children’s water safety sessions are available to those under 18 years and can swim 10m confidently in a swimming pool with their face in the water. These sessions are 30 minutes and include a safety briefing on the beach before entering the water.

    As well as sharing our open water passion with your child, our safety sessions will give them the skills, knowledge and confidence to begin their own open water journey safely.


    Their first session includes a badge and certificate.


    All sessions will be held at The Boathouse, Felpham.


    PLEASE NOTE, due to circumstances beyond our control we might have to change venue/time on the day of your session, please check here on the day of your session.










    Requirements
    1. Must be able to swim 10m confidently in a swimming pool with face in the water.
    2. A parent or guardian must be present at all times.
    3. Be under 18 years of age.
    4. Wetsuit, towfloat and a bright swimming hat must be worn. (These can be loaned from us). We have a limited number of shortie wetsuits in various sizes, please contact us with size if you would like to borrow one.
    5. Neoprene gloves, socks/boots are optional but we do recommend some sort of beach footwear.
    6. Be in good health.
    7. The medical questionnaire must be completed and disclaimer signed before their session starts. These forms are available once you have added the rest of your group, (your/the child).





    What to bring
    1. It is compulsory for all children to wear a wet suit. We have a limited number of shortie wetsuits in various sizes, if you would like to borrow one please contact us.
    2. Swimming gloves, socks/boots are optional but we do recommend some sort of beach footwear.
    3. Swimming costume/trunks, towel, and plenty of layers of clothing, drink and snack for after.
    4. A tow float (loaned from us) and a bright-colored swimming hat are also compulsory (we have spares if necessary).
    5. Changing robe, goggles are optional






    Itinerary
    1. Safety briefing on the beach.
    2. We will give your child the skills, knowledge, and confidence to begin their own open water journey safely.
    3. During these sessions, through fun and games, your child will understand the dangers of open water and learn how to stay safe in and around any area of water.
    4. They will also learn what to do in an emergency and how to overcome falling into cold water.
