Hire one of our mountain bikes and set off on your Llys y Fran Adventure.

Leisurely explore the reservoir around the main cycle route, riding the complete circuit of the reservoir, along a gravelled track. If you are feeling more adventurous why not give our mountain bike trails a try. With 12 trails that branch off from the main reservoir route at varying grades, there is something for everyone. But before you set off why not help improve your skills and increase your confidence on our pump skills area. It’s a great place to start your cycling adventure and develop the bike handling skills required for the trails.

The lead booker must be over the age of 18 to hire this equipment. Upon arrival to Llys y Fran, please sign in at our Bike Hub. From here we can ensure you are kitted out with all the right equipment and one of our instructors will provide you with a safety brief before you begin your adventure.

Llys y Fran will provide all the necessary personal protective equipment including helmet.

Safety Notice:

Safety is our number one priority. In the event of poor weather conditions, for example; strong winds or thunder and lightning, we reserve the right to withdraw access to the activity if the conditions are not suitable or unsafe. We will endeavour to give advance notice whenever possible, however, some decisions need to be made at short notice.

In the case where an activity needed to be closed, we will endeavour to notify all customers to offer the opportunity to reschedule their session or receive a refund. We will also ensure the message is shared on the Llys Y Fran website and social media pages.

Before travelling to Llys y Fran, we ask that you follow the current government advice and do not travel if you have any of the following symptoms:

1. A high temperature: this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).

1. A new, continuous cough: this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).

1. A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste: this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.

To ensure the safety of our customers and staff we ask you to sign a health declaration confirming you are free of symptoms.

What To Bring:

As part of your hire, you will be provided with all required equipment. We recommend you bring with you:

1. Sensible clothing (long sleeves are recommended).
2. Sensible footwear (flat shoes are recommended and no flip flops or sandals).
3. Sun cream.
4. Bottle of water.
5. A form of deposit. This will be retained securely at the hire desk for the duration of the hire. For example, a drivers license or passport will be accepted.
