Guided Kayaking Sessions on Caban Coch Reservoir

Description

These sessions are a unique opportunity to take to the water on Caban Coch Reservoir.

In an idyllic setting where you can take in the natural beauty of the Elan Valley and Mid Wales, your guide will take you on a 2.5 hour journey around Caban Coch Reservoir.

After a short period of instruction and practice, you will head off on your sit-on kayak, exploring the Elan Valley - don't worry, there will be a few rest stops along the way!

These sessions are the perfect family add-on for your trip to the Elan Valley, and we welcome ages 8 - 80 as long as you are reasonably fit and healthy!

Booking price is £60 per kayak based on two people sharing, or £40 for sole use of the kayak.

FOR BOOKING TWO PEOPLE OR MORE. BOOK AS ONE PERSON INITIALLY THEN SELECT YOUR PASSENGER/ SECOND PERSON AS AN ADD ON FOR THE REDUCED RATE.

  1. Please wear suitable clothing including footwear that you don't mind getting wet. Sun cream/ drinks are also advised.
  2. A change of clothes and shoes, and having a towel is advised just in case you fall in (although we're not planning it!)
  3. Due to the physical nature of kayaking, participants must be reasonable fit and healthy, and able to get in and out of the kayak, and able to sit upright for a sustained period of time with minimal back support. Please discuss any health concerns before booking or with your instructor on arrival.

For any group bookings, please contact us directly.

Meet at the Sawmill Activity Centre in the Claerwen Valley.

To access, cross Garreg Ddu, pass the church on your right. Follow the road and the activity centre is down a steep track on your left. It is a sharp turn so better to continue along the road, turn at the layby and then double back on yourself.

What to bring

Wear sensible shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Bring a change of shoes, clothes and a towel just in case!
