Wimbleball Lake Activity Centre

My granddaughter (12) and I had a great day at the Wimbleball Lake Activity Centre yesterday 19Th August 26. I booked the two of in for an E-foil experience and that is exactly what we got. We arrived in good time, found the reception officer, were quickly and efficiently booked and having suited up in really nice wetsuits we set off to meet our instructor for the day. She was waiting for us and we put on lifejackets, yellow bibs and lightweight helmets and got into the water with our e-foils. Our instructor explained how they work and how to steer them and get onto them. We were accompanied throughout our hour+ session by our very competent instructor during which we had enormous fun.
We both failed to get onto our feet on the boards but experienced  zooming along with the boards well above the surface of the water whilst on our knees with our arms in the air. Returning to shore we were both tired but very excited by our experiences on the e-foils.
Throughout our time at the Wimbleball Lake Activity Centre all the staff we came into contact with were friendly, efficient and enthusiastic. All the facilities were clean and tidy and the grounds were well looked after as was the equipment we used.
We highly recommend  the Wimbleball Lake Activity Centre and we plan to return to have another session on the e-foils and also to take advantage of all the other opportunities on offer on the lake. We didn’t have a chance to experience all of what the Centre has to offer but what we did see and use was excellent.

I had a superb time e-foiling at Wimbleball Lake yesterday. My instructor, Genevieve, was absolutely excellent—patient, knowledgeable, and fantastic at giving one-on-one guidance. The rest of the team at the activity centre were also incredibly welcoming and helpful to get me set up. Highly recommended!

We love Wimbleball and come every year as a group with friends for the weekend. The camping facilities are excellent. The lake is beautiful and the staff are super friendly. We hope the little cafe might be up and running again soon. Can't wait to come back.
