    Are you looking to try Kayaking, and are not sure where to start?

    Are you looking for a new hobby?

    Are you looking for something to do with the friends, family, and kids of all ages?


    If you answered yes to any of the above then Intro to Kayaking is the right thing for you.


    Over the course of 90 minutes one of our experienced kayak instructors will take you through all you need to know to get started with kayaking.


    During the session we will cover:


    1. Clothing and equipment information - think of it like a crash course in everything you need to physically get yourself on the water, covering all the types of equipment you’ll need
    2. Tips for getting on the water - including how to get safely in and out of your canoe, kayak or SUP from different places you are likely to paddle
    3. Learning to paddle - with practical skills such as paddling forward, turning and stopping… pretty much everything you need to get started and moving
    4. Staying safe - on and off the water, you’ll learn about how to stay safe and make the most out of your paddle session



    Requirements

    Suitable for ages 8 years and over

    What to bring

    This activity will be on the water, and can be a wet one, so we strongly suggest you bring the following:

    1. Closed-toed shoed to wear on the water (no flip-flops)
    2. Swimwear
    3. Shorts (no denim)
    4. T-shirt
    5. A change of clothes
    6. Towel
    7. Bottle of water
    8. Hat
    9. Sun Cream


    We provide:

    1. Buoyancy Aids
    2. Kayaks
    3. Paddles
    4. Wetsuits

Always good when visiting. Have used Woodmill for many occasions for taking young people for development sessions or coming for work team days out. Very easy to run sessions and get a fun afternoon organised.
