  • Description

RYA Stage 3 introduces young sailors to on-water manoeuvres, guiding them further towards independent sailing.

The manoeuvres introduced in this 2 day course are picking up a mooring, coming alongside, capsize recovery and man-over-board recovery. Alongside these topics the young sailors will also work to improve their sailing techniques and shore-based knowledge.

We recommend that prior to attending a Stage 3 course, the young sailor has had time on the water to consolidate all skills learnt previously and had the opportunity to build their on-water confidence. Our Active Sail Academy weeks or RYA Onboard sessions are dedicated to meet these needs.

Please note that refunds will not be issued if you pay with a card and later wish to pay with childcare vouchers

The staff are very friendly, with an excellent selection of courses and boats. The atmosphere is great and the paddle boarding sessions are very fun. Very good for beginner sailors.
