Active Sail Improvers - 5 Days

This 2-day course is perfect for young sailors who have completed RYA Stage 1 or above and want to consolidate their basic skills. With a focus on practice and repetition in a supportive environment, participants will improve their boat handling, build confidence, and enhance techniques such as tacking, gybing, and controlling speed. Taught in the sheltered waters of Southampton, the course helps sailors develop a stronger understanding of sailing principles, preparing them for more advanced stages.

This course is non-certificated, focusing on skill development and confidence building rather than formal certification.

Want to improve but already completed Stage 3? Check out our Active Sail Advanced which allows students who hold their Stage 3 or above certificate to consolidate their skills and get even more time on the water!

All participants must be aged 8+.and will have completed Stage 1 and 2
