  • Description

Sea kayaking session run at Port Quin North Cornwall.

Ages 12 and up (under 16's must be accompanied by an adult)

Moderate level of fitness required for this session.

We provide wetsuits and all essential safety kit along with a qualified and very experienced local guide, Sam and Archie have both grown up here and know the location and routes better than anyone.

We start off by going over the basics, then explore Port Quin harbour, its caves and harbour mouth areas. If its calm we will go on a further journey, if its windy or rough we will use the features of Port Quin to offer more skills training or some fun challenges. Either way a great fun couple of hours guaranteed!

We usually see plenty of bird life such as Oyster catchers, Turnstones, Gannets and cormorants, we have even started to see Cornish Chough's recently. Sometimes we are lucky enough to see seals, sunfish, dolphins, Tuna and even basking sharks!

Sam and Archie also have an intricate knowledge of the Geology and History of the amazing coastline, which has been shaped by natural forces and mined through the ages for precious metals and minerals.

We always use double kayaks unless there is an odd number in your group.

We can provide wetsuits if you do not have your own. We recommend bringing old trainers or suitable waterproof footwear, flip flops will suffice if you don't have anything else!
