Sup the stress away on a Thursday evening social paddle
SUP Club Richmond's fun and friendly Thursday evening social paddles are a great way to chill out after a hard day's work. Led by one of friendly instructors, we paddle mainly from Richmond Bridge, and occasionally from Teddington Lock.
Running on most Thursday evenings from April to October, we'll head out on the Thames for a couple of hours, have a paddle, have a natter, and usually stop for a drink or an ice-cream!
Occasionally, when the tides are not friendly, or we fancy a change, we launch from Teddington Lock, so make sure you check the WhatsApp group messages for confirmation of location on the day.
Club trips are free for Premier, Pro and Flex Season Ticket members, and £10 for PAYG members if you have your own equipment. It's £25 if you would like to borrow our equipment.

We ask all paddlers to wear a buoyancy aid on the water. If you wear a leash it needs to be a quick release waist leash. We have buoyancy aids and wetsuits available to rent, or you can purchase one of our QR waist belts on the day.
You're welcome to bring a non-member friend, as long as they are a competent paddler, and agree to comply with our safety procedures re buoyancy aids and leashes. We charge non-members £39.50 per session using our equipment, or £25 using their own.
Paddlers need to be confident standing up, steering and self-rescuing, and must have paddled on an instructor-led session with Paddle Richmond prior to joining us on a SUP Club Richmond trip.
You do not need to be a proficient swimmer, but should be comfortable with falling into water while wearing a buoyancy aid.
We have a safe storage space for your bags and valuables, although no individual lockers.
If you are bringing your own board, please make sure you are pumped up and ready to go at the start time so as not to delay other members.
