SUP Club Richmond - Sunday Paddle 2024
Description
SUP Club Richmond's fun and friendly Sunday social paddles are a great way to make the most of the weekend, and get on the water with fellow paddlers. Led by one of friendly instructors, we paddle mainly from Richmond Bridge, and occasionally from Teddington Lock.
Running on most Sunday mornings (tides permitting) from April to October, we'll head out on the Thames for a couple of hours, have a paddle, have a natter, and usually stop for a drink or an ice-cream!
Occasionally, when the tides are not friendly, or we fancy a change, we launch from Teddington Lock, so make sure you check the WhatsApp group messages for confirmation of location on the day.
Club trips are free for Premier, Pro and Flex Season Ticket members.
For PAYG members its £15 at weekends. And if you would like to borrow our equipment, it's £35.

Trial sessions are £10 - competent paddlers only please. If you're not sure book a lesson first.
You can select the relevant price option during the booking process in the "Recommended add-ons" section.
We ask all paddlers to wear a buoyancy aid on the water. If you wear a leash it needs to be a quick release waist leash. Ankle leashes are dangerous on moving water and are banned on our stretch of the Thames.
We have buoyancy aids and wetsuits available to rent, or you can purchase one of our QR waist belts on the day.
You're welcome to bring a non-member friend, as long as they are a competent paddler, and agree to comply with our safety procedures re buoyancy aids and leashes. At weekends we charge non-members £47.50 per session using our equipment, or £30 using their own.
Requirements
Paddlers need to be confident standing up, steering and self-rescuing, and must have paddled on an instructor-led session with Paddle Richmond prior to joining us on a SUP Club Richmond trip.
You do not need to be a proficient swimmer, but should be comfortable with falling into water while wearing a buoyancy aid.
