Join us on a one way trip from Kew Bridge to Cremorne Gardens in Chelsea. We will be paddling with the outgoing tide through Hammersmith, Putney and just past Battersea Rail Bridge.

The Tideway is restricted for SUP after Putney Bridge so this session is only suitable for paddlers who:

1. Have completed the Thames Skills & Knowledge 1 course (Theory and Practical)
2. Have good previous experience on the Tidal Thames (between Teddington Lock and Putney)
3. Are confident paddling without guidance and also in self rescue when necessary

You must be an experienced paddler and completed the Thames Skills & Knowledge (TSK 1) Theory and Practical and have previous experience on the tidal section of the Thames (Between Teddington Lock and Putney Bridge).

These trips are for experienced TSK 1 paddlers. These are guided trips so you must have suitable experience to to paddle on the Tideway without guidance. You will be accompanied by experienced paddlers including a qualified coach and TSK 2 paddler for safety at all times.

Please wear suitable paddling attire based on the weather. We tend to wear thermals and wetsuits in the winter.

Footwear should be watersports shoes - ideally neoprene. Barefoot is not allowed as we will be walking along the foreshore to start and finish.

Bring a dry bag and travel light as you will not be able to arrange to go back to the start point so we will be taking all or belongings with us on the boards. 

We have some dry bags for sale at Kew Bridge but you will need to purchase/arrange this beforehand.

We will start at our base in Kew Bridge.

Once we have kitted up we will head out on the water just after High tide using the start of the Ebb tide to take us down to Putney and through to Cremorne Riverside in Chelsea.

This is a one way trip so we will be finishing at Cremorne Riverside where there will be shower and changing facilities.
