    Description

    If you are a complete orienteering beginner or just looking to fine turn your skills, this introduction could be for you!


    Within this course you will learn the following skills;

    1. Orientating the map
    2. Map features
    3. Route planning


    As well as this there will be some fun games to aid your learning!

    the terrain will vary depending on the area and the weather conditions, please come dressed appropriately for the conditions with grippy footwear.


    Safety is our number one priority. In the event of poor weather conditions (e.g. strong winds or thunder and lightning) or other incidents we reserve the right to restrict the area available for activities, cancel sessions or close the lake. We will endeavour to give advance notice whenever possible; however sometimes decisions need to be made at short notice. If we close for activities, we will add a message to our website and endeavour to contact all customers impacted to offer the opportunity to reschedule their session or receive a refund.


    What to bring

    Please complete your disclaimer and medical information ahead of your visit – this will be prompted through your online booking. If this information isn’t completed in advance, it can cause delays to you starting your session. This information must be completed for every person participating.


    Land activities:

    ·Flat, closed toe footwear for archery and axe throwing

    ·Long sleeved top for archery

    ·Long hair must be tied back for archery and axe throwing

    ·Suncream

    ·Hat – either a warm hat or sunhat depending on the weather

    ·Bottle of water

    ·Waterproof coat

    Itinerary

    1.Make sure you arrive in good time and have signed all relevant disclaimers and medical declarations in advance

    2.Check in at the Activity Centre reception

    3.Changing rooms and lockers are available

    4.Meet your instructor

Great place to come and relax at the cafe and walk around the reservoir and enjoy the view and breath in fresh air by the lake. The public car park is a little way up so it’s a hard climb on the way back. Saw lots of ...

Love it here Great location You can walk the 6 miles around the reservoir from the 1st March. Nice cafe with great views Food caters for snacks to meals

Lovely place quiet when we were there but it was Feb. Good size car park but I could expect it to be busyer in Nice months. 1st Hour free then £3 all day.
