  • Description

The KataKanu is a brilliantly innovative and versatile craft, created by joining two canoes in a catamaran formation. Seating up to six people in total, minimum 4 people. It is a very safe and stable craft due to its double-canoe structure, which also allows for easy communication between the two sets of paddlers, adding to the fun and team spirit. It is also very easy to handle, giving you a great opportunity to explore our beautiful lake as a family. This is not an instructor led session.

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to start time to allow time to change into required kit ready for a safety briefing at the start time.

A wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet (where appropriate) will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own wetsuit if you wish.

The minimum age allowed on the water is 5 years.

5 to 7 years old - Can be on a craft with a responsible adult aged 18+

8 to 13 years old - Can paddle own craft, whilst supervised by a responsible adult aged 18+ on the water

14 to 17 years old - Can paddle own craft with a responsible adult aged 18+ on site that is contactable in the case of an emergency

    Weather:

Safety is our number one priority. In the event of poor weather conditions (e.g. strong winds or thunder and lightning) or other incidents we reserve the right to restrict water access to particular user groups, restrict the area available for activities, cancel sessions or close the lake. We will endeavour to give advance notice whenever possible; however sometimes decisions need to be made at short notice. If we close the lake, we will add a message to our website and endeavour to contact all customers impacted to offer the opportunity to reschedule their session or receive a refund.

Lovely peaceful place to take the family. Will be back to try the water sports. Only frustration was the lack of menu choices at the restaurant with no children’s or fresh menu which could be locally sourced. Such a ...

Wow, a beautiful place to visit with the family. If you're into trekking, go past the bbq areas and past the gold course. There is a little treasure at the end which the kids will love.
