  • Description

MUST HAVE DONE A Intro Session or Skills and Drills/INTRO TO SUP POLO AS WE WILL BE GOING STRAIGHT INTO GAMES AFTER SHORT BRIEF.

Adults and children over the age of 12 only be must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian .

    What is SUP polo?

SUP Polo is a cross between stand up paddleboarding, water polo and lacrosse played on inflatable SUP boards with paddles. It is played on a sectioned off area on flat water outdoors or you can play in a swimming pool.

Great fun and addictively challengingtwo teams of 3 battle it out to retrieve the ball with specially made paddles and shoot or throw the ball into the goal at either end of the pool.

The basic game rules? (You will be given a copy of full rules and a verbal safety brief at each session)

The basic rules of SUP Polo are simple: The field is the full length of the 25m long pool x 12 metres (4 lanes) and it’s three-a-side. You’ve got to use your paddle to get the ball into the net in order to score. You can’t handle the ball while you’re on your knees or in the water, which is an important point to note because you WILL be in the water during SUP Polo.

The halves are usually around 5 minutes each, which sounds short but will seriously tax your lungs: This game is not only fun, but it challenges your balance and coordination it’s also a hell of a good workout.

    Is this for me?

This session is the SUP Polo game session You will have played SUP Polo as part of an introduction either at the pool or at lake. You should be able to stand up and have some basic skills to control your board . You will need to be able to swim and be confident in the water. A certain level of flexibility and ability to get up to standing from kneeling is required. Must able to self-rescue back on to your board.

    What are the rules?

Safety and Game format will be repeated before each session and there is a copy to read when you sign up for the game.

Absolutely brilliant. Both my sons went on a paddle board intro course and instructor Adam was fantastic! The boys had so much fun and can’t wait to go back.
