BKSA Kitesurfing Level 1 Instructor Training Course (ITC)
This is a 5 day course and is open to all BKSA members who are of a suitable standard of riding (see pre-requisites below). The course introduces the BKSA teaching sylabus and how to deliver it in a safe manner. It also looks at control of groups, managing the beach for teaching kitesurfing and much more. Being an instructor is a rewarding job and this course is jam packed full of info to become the ultimate kiteboarding instructor.
Instructor Training Course – 5 day course
- Course completion Certificate gained at the end of the 5 days
- Full instructor status is granted once the course and post-course action plan is completed
- Level 1 ITC is required to teach within a British Kitesports recognised school
- A Level 1 instructor can teach up to 4 students with two kites on the water once registered
- An instructor can also teach intermediate levels, equipment tuning , improve technique, riding upwind, transitions and jumping
Pre requisites:
- Valid British Kitesports Association membership
- Shadow teaching x 12 hours (please contact us if you're unsure about how/where to complete shadow teaching hours)
- Riding competency (riding upwind, toeside, jumping and one rotation variant)
- RYA Powerboat L2 ((please contact us if you're unsure about how/where to complete your PB L2)
- Valid first aid certificate (see our other courses to book this with us, we may have courses available the weekend immediately prior to the ITC)
