    Description

    Experience Torquay Alpine Ski Club's Levels 2,3, and 4 ski instruction for intermediate and advanced skiers! This incredible one hour session is designed to take your skiing to the next level. Our experienced instructors will guide you through a series of drills and exercises tailored to your skill level that will improve your technique and confidence on the slopes. So grab some friends or family members and come join us at Torquay Alpine Ski Club for an unforgettable day!


    This session is for individuals that have skied before and can use the lift. If you have never skied before and/or cannot use the lift, please book the 'Beginners' session. The session includes time to kit up before a 1 hour lesson on the slope. Please see the list of levels and abilities below:

    1. Ski Stage 2 - Lift Competent and Snow Plough Starting to Turn: Have skied before and can use the lift. Can side step up and down the slope, ski down the slope in a straight line, can control your speed by using a snowplough. You may also have been introduced to snow plough turns
    2. Ski Stage 3 - Lift Competent and Advanced Snow Plough Turning: Have skied before and can use the lift. You can make linked turns in a snowplough and you may have been introduced to plough parallel where you start the turn in a plough and try and finish parallel
    3. Ski Stage 4 - Parallel Turning: Have skied before and can use the lift. You are able to turn both skis at the same time by making parallel turns, you can ski from the top or very near to the top of our slope


    On arrival you will be allocated into a group that reflects your ability






    Requirements
    1. Minimum age 8 years
    What to bring
    1. Bring your own gloves
    2. Wear long-sleeved top and long trousers to protect from scratching. Thin leggings do not protect well and are not suitable
    3. Skis and ski boots only are provided


    Itinerary
    1. Ski kit allocation will begin at session start time
    2. Individuals will spend 1 hour on the slope under instruction
    3. Individuals will have time to get changed and kitted up either side of the session

I went to this slope before going to Italian Alps for the real thing . I did very well , instruction was good . Skiing on an artificial gives you good strength and skills . I even ended up trialing for the Devon team . ...
