Adult surf club

Our surf clubs are aimed at people who want to surf regularly with a group and have consistent and progressive surf coaching.

To get the most out of adult surf club we need to know exactly where you are at, so it is only available to those who have surfed with us recently.

The lesson involves a warm up, including a 15 minute observed, directed free surf, from which we adjust our coaching, drills and individual focuses for the rest of the lesson. This is a great way to develop your independent practice, but as such it is important that you are comfortable surfing independently, (ie, confident enough to surf either in the white water or out the back, in ability appropriate conditions, under supervision, but without hands on assistance).

Suitable for age 16+ (no upper age limit) - we can cater to different experience levels by splitting groups between coaches, so the clubs are open to all ability levels, but some experience and independence is necessary.

If you are looking for a one off lesson we recommend trying our levelled group lessons, as our clubs are aimed at those who we coach regularly.

Sessions are £35 for a drop in, £90 for a block of 3 or £125 for a block of 5. A block must be used within 1 year of purchase.

All equipment can be provided (included in the price) although you are welcome to use your own.

Our lessons take place between Bamburgh and Beadnell (whichever beach has the best conditions for the session).

Our lessons will run if the surf conditions are safe and the waves are good enough for the lesson. However, there are occasions where the surf conditions may not be suitable. If this happens we will make the call as early as we can to save wasted trips to the coast, and the session will roll on to the next weekly club session.

Age 16 +

Can swim 50m unaided in a pool. Can surf independently (ie, confident enough to surf either in the white water or out the back, in ability appropriate conditions, under supervision, but without hands on assistance)

Please bring a towel and some warm clothes for after the session. Swimwear is ideal to wear under our wetsuits.

Bring your own kit if you wish to use it.
