Intermediate Surf Lesson

This lesson is for people who are surfing unbroken waves out the back. If you haven’t had a lesson with us previously please give us a call before booking on 07962166486 so we can discuss if this lesson is right for you.

Adults, families and children aged 12+ can surf in our intermediate and advanced group lessons. For children under the age of 12 please contact us directly before booking discuss suitability.

Our lessons usually take place on the beautiful Bamburgh Beach. We are mobile between Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell, and will move location if needed to find the best waves - if this is the case we will let you know with as much notice as possible by contacting the number you provide us on the booking form. All locations are within a 10 minute drive. By default our lessons are at our Bamburgh location - if there is no expected change to this we will not contact you.

You will be taught by one of our level 2 instructors who are qualified to teach anyone from complete beginner up to competitive level surfers. Feel free to get in touch, if you have any queries call or text us on 07962166486.

Our lessons will run if the surf conditions are safe and the waves are good enough for the lesson. However, there are occasions where the surf conditions may not be suitable. In the unfortunate event of this happening we will call the number provided by the person who made the booking, as soon as possible, to give the option of rescheduling or receiving a full refund. If we do not contact you then the conditions are safe and the waves are suitable, so the lesson will go ahead as planned.

2. Swim 100m in a pool unaided
3. Can pop up consistently and paddle out back

Please bring a towel and some warm clothes for after the session. Swimwear is ideal to wear under our wetsuits.

1. Participants will be checked in and kit up in the car park (put on wetsuits)

4. Beach instruction, identifying aims and learning points
5. Depending on the conditions and the aims of the session this lesson will be held ‘out the back’, beyond the white water
