Touring and Sea Kayak Basic Skills

This course is for beginners or for those who have paddled before but wish to refresh the basics with a fully qualified instructor.

It is ideal for anyone wanting to learn the basic skills of touring inland lochs, lakes and reservoirs. It is also perfect for those who want to learn sea kayaking but prefer to start in sheltered inland waters before venturing into tidal waters. The course is taught in sea kayaks and lasts 6 Hours 10.00-16.00.

Beginners or improvers. Recommended that you are comfortable in water and have some swimming ability.

Towel. Change of clothes. Lunch and snacks. Warm hat and non-cotton base layers. We can provide a wetsuit and boots, and windproof top, but bring your own if you you have them. It can be cold in April, May and October, so bring extra layers for keeping warm or changing into.
