    Please join SUP With Ana for an hour of SUP skills and drills ,


    Being in a safe, warm environment with qualified, empathic instructors, these 1hr pool clinics provide an ideal environment to help you address your concerns. Whether it’s self-rescue, how to fall off safely, gaining stability, footwork, transitioning from kneeling to standing-up to more advanced skills like step-back turn. You are welcome to come in a kayak and try your rolls also.


    Please bring your craft and any equipment you like to try via the side entrance to the Waltham School 15 min before your time slot.


    You need to be able to swim for this activity .We will wear buoyancy aids so we practice fully equipped closer to real life scenario.


    Please be aware that these Clinics are not ‘lessons’; however, we are available throughout the session to impart individual hints, tips & guidance whenever you need.

    Min age 14 and should be accompanied by an adult in pool .


    Need a board ? You can hire for extra £15 .Suitable for all levels .


    And please remember to BOOK EARLY as spaces go very fast!

    What to bring

    Please wear comfortable clothing that you would wear for paddling, eg. t-shirts/ leggings/shorts, etc. We do have shortie wetsuits available if you wish.

    Please bring spare change of clothes, towel & water bottle

    Footwear not required – we will be going barefoot on the boards (unless you have a specific medical condition)



    Itinerary

    What you can expect from our Paddle Pool Clinics:


    1. Welcome & Introduction

    2. Provision of equipment, including buoyancy aid

    3. Poolside intro & demo - correct set-up and use of your paddle, overview of your board, including leash & Quick Release belt

    4. In-water demonstrations of how to effectively self-rescue, including both solo & buddy techniques

    5. In-water demonstration of how to safely fall-in

    6. How to paddle safely from your launch spot & return

    7. How to paddle both kneeling down, standing-up & turning

    8. Footwork skills & confidence building

    9. Opportunity to develop individual competence with turns & paddle strokes
