Emily King is a multi-disciplinary National Elite SUP Racing Champion, ultra athlete and Professional Coach with a passion for adventure paddling, white water and surfing. She has been coaching paddlers around the UK for the past 15 years, improving paddlers’ technique and performance from beginner to podium.
With a successful background and profile within the world of SUP, Emily has an impressive portfolio GBSUP National 12’6 Technical Race Series Champion. As well as winning countless stand-alone races both on 12’6 & 14ft racing category. Emily participates in ultra triathlons and running events.

The one day course is open for all levels of paddlers who wish to up-skill their knowledge and paddling skills, in the areas detailed below.

You will learn how to improve and manage the different stages of your paddle stoke, the tactical paddle strokes, how to improve your efficiency to paddle in different environments for different lengths of time. Emily will work with you on all aspects of techniques, turns and how to paddle in different environments & condition. These sessions will put you in control both mentally and physically. By the end of the clinic, you will have the tools and the knowledge to take your paddling to the next level.
Sup Skills and Technique Training Clinic Itinerary
- Kit review.
- How to prepare mentally and physically for your paddle goals, to include training plans and training systems.
- Warm up and cool downs.
- The paddle strokes and technique
- Sprint, middle distance and endurance paddling.
- Open water paddling skills.
- Body positioning and its application.
- Buoy turns
- Paddling efficiency in a group
The course will be delivered both on land and water will be water. Please come with warm clothes to accommodate being outside for the day both on land and water.
