Paddle Boarding

Our Stand-Up Paddle Boarding or SUP sessions are run out of Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny.

These sessions are suitable for families with children from age 8 and up. (All under 16s must be accomanied by an adult.

This is the perfect location to learn to Paddle Board as we have perfectly flat water to give you a very enjoyable first experience. On your paddle boarding session, you will be introduced to the fastest growing sport in the world by people who are passionate about it.

We will kit you up with all the equipment you need, give you an introduction to paddle boarding and a safety brief before getting out on the water and getting you up and going on the board. During the session we will teach you the basics or if you have some experience advance your skills and go for a journey along the tranquil waters of the river Barrow. During the session we will cover between 3-6km.

Our boards are really stable and perfect to get you up and going.

1. Participants must be over 8 years old to partake in our activities
2. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
3. Participants should be comfortable in water when wearing a personal flotation device/Life-jacket/Buoyancy Aid
4. Participants should be fit and healthy to participate in a physical activity
5. Participants will have to sign a waiver on registering on the day of their activity

Please bring the following with you

1. Foot wear you dont mind getting wet (Runners or Sandles are fine)
2. Swimwear
3. Shorts/T-shirt you dont mind getting wet (You might not want to wear a wetsuit on a warm day)
4. A bottle of water
5. A towel for after
6. Suncream
7. If you have your own wetsuit bring it along
8. Any medication you might need

Once you meet your guide they will get you signed in and give you a brief over view of the sessiom. They will then give you and fit you with all the safety equipment and give you a introduction to paddle sports and safety briefing before getting on the water.

Once on the water we will paddle up the river towards an old lock system along a beautiful wooded valley.

Finishing back where we started in Graiguenamanagh. The whole session will take around 2 hours.
