  • Description

This two hour guided tour sets off from Crookham Wharf, where you'll find a free carpark and picnic area.

We’ll start with some basic safety and equipment information, then some basic instruction to ensure you can launch bankside, forward paddle, turn, stop and stand up.

We'll take in some beautiful canal side properties, rural countryside and navigate a fun yet achievable low limbo swing bridge, then pause for refreshments at Fox & Hounds Pub (bring money or card!) before returning back to shore.

    Who is this trip for?

    Beginner to intermediate.

This is a beginner friendly tour starting with an on land briefing, followed by a short refresher lesson to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident on their board. With easy launching, sheltered waters, and no portaging we should be in for an easy ride.

🩹 The quality of our local waterways is something to always be aware of and it’s important to do your own research regarding this. When paddle boarding with us we ask that you cover up any minor cuts and abrasions, and to wash once you are home if you fall/swim in the river, this is to reduce the risk of disease such as weil's disease. Paddle Up strongly recommends not to participate in paddling if I have any open wounds, and instead to reschedule.
